Andres Ramirez has an extensive political background, and has worked on several local, state and national campaigns for the past 12 years. Andres established himself as an experienced political organizer during US Senator Harry Reid’s 1998 re-election campaign where he spearheaded a successful field program to mobilize Latino voters. Since then, he has worked in various capacities on numerous campaigns across the country. In 2004, he worked as the Nevada State Director for Voices for Working Families, and was credited with registering and mobilizing thousands of new voters. In 2006, he worked as the Deputy National Field Director and the National Targeting Director for Communities United to Strengthen America where he was tasked with implementing political campaigns in 23 Congressional Districts across America. Andres later accepted a position as the Outreach Director for the Nevada State Democratic Party where he was responsible for helping implement the 2008 Nevada Democratic Presidential Caucuses, and creating a plan for engaging and mobilizing Latinos in the Caucus. In addition to his political experience, Andres also has a substantial background in legislative affairs and public policy. Andres has served on numerous local and county boards setting public policy, and began his career in Washington, DC as a legislative aide to US Senator Harry Reid. After his role in the US Senate, Andres Ramirez joined the Washington office of Nevada Governor Bob Miller where he served as the Deputy Director and was responsible for helping to push the state’s legislative agenda in Congress. When Governor Miller retired, Andres was recruited by US Strategies Corporation to serve as a Legislative Affairs Specialist, and was tasked with handling, energy, environment, education, technology, gaming and healthcare issues. |
